So I just received my replacement dehumidifier from Fridgdaire and I am hoping this one last more than 7 months. It is a very good machine and as stated above if it last for a few years I will be very pleased with it but if only 7 months it will be a big disappointment. Getting it replaced was a smooth transition and the customer service young lady was excellent!

I read lots of reviews before purchasing this dehumidifier! We had a leak behind our shower after tearing out the walls we had a lot of moisture so we purchased this to dry out the area and it worked amazingly pulling so much moisture out and getting rid of the musty smell. I am looking forward in testing it out this summer when the humidity levels are high here in Texas.

I got my new dehumidifier in the winter and set it up in the basement. I was surprised by how much water it pulled out of the air. I have it set at 40% humidity. Although I can't feel a difference, I'm happy to have less humidity and to protect the paintings, guitars, and family stuff that we have in the basement. I'm expecting the basement to be more comfortable in the summer when the AC will be running.

My current unit is actually a warranty replacement of the first; the previous apartment I was in had a mold issue, and the dehumidifier quickly developed a bad smell that wouldn't go away with cleaning. Customer service and the warranty process was relatively smooth, and I'm now in a new apartment with a new unit; it's been over a month and it's working well so far. Since it's not on continuous drain I empty and wipe down the tank at least daily when I'm running the unit, and clean the tank and let it air dry regularly. No mold smells and humidity is kept at bay!

After 24 hours of having our new dehumidifier we immediately noticed a difference in the air quality in our apartment. No more musty smells. The basin that collects the water is easy to empty. It™™s can be a little noisy so we turn it off at night or move it to another room but it™™s worth it.

Well, it's not magic. It is a fine A/C type compressor though. We live in the humid Gulf Coast area. Temps are so mild November to March that the A/C or Furnace just doesn't run. Thus, humidity can build up, especially as we warm towards Spring. If we ran this unit on High, it would pull over 3 gallons a day. On Mid and Low it pulls about 3 gallons in two days. Every home will differ but ultimately we went from 65%+ humidity to under 50% in less than a days time. We'll have to use this unit in those parts of the year that the A/C does not run (and will even help the A/C use in our heavy humidity Summer days...). This unit is a winner!

I splurged and went with a Frigidaire. Loved it when it was working but it just suddenly stopped after 17 months. It would run continuously, never reached the set humidity and the water bucket would be empty. When I checked the filter, I noticed the coils have ice on them.

Purchased July 2020 and EC code June 2022. No longer drawing water - but it is running. Ice built up in back as well. Out of warranty. Tried calling only to be put on hold forever and/or disconnected. Bottomline - Frigidaire will do nothing. I wish I read these reviews prior to purchasing - I would NOT have purchased this dehumidifier. Absolutely a waste of money and it sounds like it is pretty unsafe.

My old unit broke plus had a safety recall. This new unit is fairly quiet and works very well. A longer cord by an extra foot would™™ve been helpful plus handles on the unit to help lift it. I™™m hoping it lasts 10 yrs like my old one.

This works fantastic. I have it in our hot tub room and it works great. We would always open the doors to the outside when using the hot tub, even in the winter in Buffalo. However, there was still a tremendous amount of condensation in the room. This product has solved that problem

The de-humidifier works very well...as advertised. I am happy with it. However, I had to have it replaced due to poor packaging. The first one came with the carboard packaging damaged and the corresponding parts of the unit inside damaged as well. The replacement unit had the exact same damage in the exact same place, but no internal damage this time. They, the shipping department for the company responsible, needs to improve their QC/QA program to include packaging and shipping.

I™™ve had a couple different dehumidifier™™s before, and this one by far is the fastest and quietest. It does make some noise, but the sound profile of the fan is more rushing air than loud compressor. I™™ve been impressed how much it pulls from the air and how pleasant my apartment now feels. I can™™t speak to longevity, as I™™ve only had it a month, but I have high hopes. Would recommend!

It's great while it worked, but now displays the terminal "EC" code outside the 1 year warranty. Will make sure to let my network of contractors to tell their customers to avoid, and will talk to my neighbor about a class action, given the number of similiar issues and the corporate, "SOL" response. He absolutely lives for this kind of thing!

I bought this for a 600 sq ft 1 BR split layout. I put the dehumidifier in the center. I keep It set at 50 or 55. It cycles nicely and pulls moisture within about 5% from the outer perimeters compared to the center. I manually empty the water. Puts off some heat as was expected, but it's located in the least used space. Noise is not problematic, and I am picky.Does well in this application.

The manual depicts a filter that you remove from the grill. The grill has a screen made to it with additional clips for a filter like the one pictured in the manual. The filter wasn't included in the box. The customer service rep says the permanent screen is the filter.

This dehumidifier (with 1 year warranty) worked great for exactly 1 year and 1 month from date of purchase. The unit was used about 2 months the first season and 3 months the 2nd season, so a total of 5 months actually running the dehumidifier. The dehumidifier was very effective at removing moisture from my finished basement. However, 13 months after purchase the coils began to freeze up solid due to low refrigerant. I kept the filter squeaky clean and emptied the reservoir daily: this failure is NOT due to operator error. The unit still looks brand new and runs smoothly but freezes up solid. When I inquired at my place of purchase they told me that 1 year is about the best you can expect .... seriously? from a $300 dehumidifier? There's no way to self repair or recharge, and paying an appliance repair shop would cost more than the unit is worth. After much research and reading lots of reviews I haven't been able to find an alternative product or manufacturer of dehumidifiers that are built to last. Very disappointed!DO YOUR RESEARCH! BUYER BEWARE!!!!

This is my second Frigidaire dehumidifier. The first was purchased 12/15/2016 and never has caused a problem. The collection tank on the new model is terrible! When pouring out the water the handle tends to rotate and pop out of place. When this happens the clear plastic lid can pop up and out of place. Then the float can fall forward out of place and the consumer is having to guess how to reposition it.

This is a nice dehumidifier but the sealed refrigeration unit failed in 18 months. The warranty is only for one year. Frigidaire used to offer a 5 year warranty, and they were great about honoring it. This appliance is too expensive to barely last more than a year. I will be buying a different brand with a better warranty in the future.
